to the official website of singer and actress Linda Nolan. Linda is one
of the UK's most talented female vocalist's and is also an award winning
actress. Linda has been singing since the age of 4 and hit stardom with
her sisters in the family act, The Nolans.
Gold, Silver
and Platinum discs from all around the world allied to Royal Variety
performances and their own television series for the BBC tell their own
tale about the success of the famous sister act. Linda opted out of the
group at the back end of 1983 to commence a solo career and this has
also has been a show business success story.
Linda holds the
record for headlining the most consecutive summer seasons in Blackpool
with her legendary shows as Maggie May and Rosie O'Grady. Linda was
voted Female Vocalist of the Year in 1990. Linda also starred in her own
TV Special for Granada TV named 'Linda Nolan and Friends' with
Special guests Brian Conley and Bernard Manning.
An acting
career then followed with West End appearances in Blood Brother, playing
the star role of Mrs Johnstone following on from her part as
Prudie Cupp in the musical Pump Boys and Dinettes and as The
Governor in Prisoner Cell Block 'H' - the musical starring Paul O'Grady (as
Lily Savage). Linda is also in the Guinness Book of Records (2007) along
with her sisters Bernie, Denise and Maureen with all four siblings
playing the leading role for producer Bill Kenwright in Blood Brothers
in The West End.
Linda was
delighted to be re-united with her sisters for their
Reunion Shows in 2009 following a tragic period in her life,
with the death of her husband and manager Brian
Hudson, her mother Maureen and her own battle with
breast cancer.
In
2011 Linda appeared in pantomime at The Shaw theatre in Euston, London
playing the bad fairy opposite her sister Maureen who played the good
fairy. Linda also appeared on a Christmas edition of Channel 4's Come
Dine with Me with Bianca Gascoigne, Danny Young, Nick Bateman
& Colin Baker.
