STARDUST
- Mike Holoway, Maureen Nolan & Rachael Holoway sang
non-stop, seam-free, popular hits from famous shows across the
last 30 years. The three performers were strong, confident &
thoroughly at ease. The show was a
medley of scenes and songs from musicals from the past 30 years,
including Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat,
Godspell, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia. It
also included moments from Maureen's own role as Mrs Johnstone
in Blood Brothers.
GIRLS BEHIND
- was a
sensational musical comedy with 3 of the UK's favourite singers &
comic actresses breathing life into brilliant one-liners &
timeless classic songs like Man! I Feel Like A Woman & Misty
Blue.
Singing trio The Diamonds have been friends since school. Lois was
a bit stuck up, Sadie (Maureen Nolan) was tough but had a soft
centre & Serena’s… well… just a ‘bit’ nervous. 10
years on & they still meet every Friday night to sing at The
Star club. 20 years on & they still go through everything
together – the highs & lows of their relationships, their
family triumphs & of course tragedies. But just what happened
to friendship when one is pushed into the limelight & the
others forced to sing backing vocals?
BLOOD BROTHERS
- The
original production by Willy Russell was written as a school play
& presented in 1981. Russell then
developed the work into a full blown play, which opened in the
Liverpool Playhouse in 1983, starring Barbara Dickson. The show
transferred to London where it played for only 6 months before closing. Then Bill Kenwright took over the show
&
following a year long UK tour it reopened in the Albery
Theatre in 1988 before transferring it to the Phoenix
where it has been running ever since. The
production has now passed its 20th year & has a cult
following. The central role of Mrs. Johnstone has been played by,
among others, Stephanie Lawrence, Clodagh Rodgers, Kiki Dee, Lyn
Paul & 4 of the Nolan sisters, Linda, Bernie, Denise &
Maureen. Ex-Blue member Antony Costa played the role of Mickey
during 2006, starring alongside Maureen Nolan.
Maureen played the part in London's West End for 2 years.
MUM'S THE WORD
- is a brutally honest, wickedly funny comedy about the
trials and tribulations of having children & the
overwhelming effect they have on your life. This smash-hit comedy
is a passionate illustration of the joys & agonies of
parenting.
Maureen toured with this production in 2004 - her first acting
role & returned again in 2008 alongside her sister Bernie, who
previously toured with the show in 2007.
